Getting ready for the Danube!

I have been rather quiet here for a few years. That is about to change. We are getting back on the bikes, this time with the kids in tow:cHannes (3) Yannick & Emil (10 months). In a week and a bit we will be cycling along the Danube in Germany, something like Ulm to Passau; let's see how we get on. We hope to camp when the weather is nice and B&B when it's wet - but it's not going to be wet - is it?!

What is booked is the ferry from Bergen to Hirtzhalts in Denmark, and one overnight stop on the way down south.

We have done one 'test' camping weekend with bikes etc out here in Norway, which was very useful.

Here is the campsite! With sleeping kids.
Lesson 1) don't camp on a slope with little ones if you can avoid it. Our little boys can't walk yet, and fell over quite often, which they found annoying. They also found it funny sometimes and tried rolling down to the lake...

This is a moment of peace during tea time. We spent a lot of this trying to keep hungry twins away from the Trangia. Lesson 2) cook if you must, eat out if you can!
